Laptop Lending Program
Thanks to Gifts in Kind, Synopsis in Hillsboro and Office Depot in Portland,
UR SUCCESS started 2011 by launching a new Laptop Lending program.
Students who need computers can apply to borrow them through the end of the school year by completing a UR SUCCESS application form or by contacting Earl Chaney at earl@ursuccess.org
The students must agree to provide updates to UR SUCCESS and to care for their laptop in exchange for participating.
UR SUCCESS was excited to receive donated Dell laptop computers from Synopsis through its partnership with Gifts in Kind. Special thanks to Dan Becker, manager of the Southeast Grand Office Depot, and his team for providing virus protection and preparing the laptops for Internet use and with driver updates.
Already UR SUCCESS participants have started to receive the laptops and cases to help them with their schoolwork and research projects under a contract with UR SUCCESS.
We are thrilled by the community support for this program that meets a serious need for these young students.

We are thrilled to be blessed with the donated computers, but success requires more than equipment.
The laptops provide an opportunity to mentor and guide young minds.
They give a strong foundation for UR SUCCESS mentors to provide the individual support these students need achieve their dreams.
You may not have time to mentor, but you still can make a big difference in the lives of youth whose dreams are larger than their resources.
Just $75 will provide a Laptop Lending student with the equipment and the guidance they truly need. Click here to sponsor a student today.
